Fitbit Versa Design
The Fitbit Versa is Fitbit’s best-looking health and fitness smartwatch so far. The Fitbit Versa’s body is made out of an ultra light anodized aluminium case and a screen made from Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3. Weighing only 1.34 oz or 38 gram it might happen that you even forget you are wearing a smartwatch. With its attractive squircle design the Fitbit Versa has looks similar to an Apple Watch but for some people the light weight casing might give it a cheap feel compared to an Apple Watch.
Supplied with small- and large size interchangeable straps the Fitbit Versa will fit everybody’s wrists varying from 140 up to 220 mm. With casings in black, grey-silver, rose-gold and straps in all sorts of materials and colors you can customize your watch creating a unique wearable for each and every occasion however, it has to be mentioned that many reviews state that changing these straps, compared to other smartwatches, can be a little bit of a hassle when you do this for the first time.
Fitbit Versa Features
Health and Fitness tracking
Being a Multi-Sports watch the Fitbit Versa has following workout modes: Run, Bike, Swim, Weights, Interval Workout, Workout, Spinning, Golf, Hike, Tennis, Stairclimber, Pilates, Circuit Training, Bootcamp, Yoga, Elliptical, Walk, Martial Arts and Kickboxing. Using smart activity tracking technology and an optical heart rate monitor the Fitbit Versa recognizes the difference between an intense workout and your daily routine.
Because sleep has a major influence on your health, your mood and much more. The Fitbit Versa tracks your sleeping pattern to help you understand your sleeping habits allows you to perform at your best and stay productive. Improving your nights is the best way to seize the day.
A downside of the Fitbit Versa is that it does not come with a built in GPS function so is not possible to map your runs after a workout. To do so you still need to bring your mobile phone with you and use your phone’s GPS function but the presence of your mobile allows you to receive call, text or calendar notifications on your Fitbit Versa. For apps that support in-notification replies on your smartphone, you can even answer text messages with pre-set messages through quick-replies.
Music, display and battery life
For all you music lovers out there, when paired with your wireless headphones you can also listen to your favorite music on the Fitbit Versa. It has a built in memory to store 300+ songs and also supports the Deezer and Pandora apps, Spotify however is not yet supported.
On bright and sunny days the high resolution touch screen with a brightness up to 1000 nits ensures that you are always able to see what is happening on your screen. All of this technology comes with a battery life of 4+ days on a 2 hour charge from 0-100%. This of course depends on how intensive you use the Fitbit Versa, but compared to most smartwatches this is still significantly more.
For all of those on a limited budget, the Fitbit Versa is the right choice for you. It is sold on Amazon for only $199.95 making it cheaper than its competition and one of the best smartwatches you can get for under $200.
